Medicare Rebates
Medicare rebates are available only if your GP completes a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan or Eating Disorder Plan. This must be provided to the dietitian in advance or at the start of your appointment. After payment of the full fee, you may be entitled to a rebate of $61.80 per visit for up to 5 visits per calendar year (or 20 with an Eating Disorder Plan) that you will receive from Medicare back into your bank account.
DVA
We are a registered provider with the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA). DVA Gold Card Holders and White Card Holders with an eligible condition are entitled to bulk-billed dietitian consultations (no out of pocket expense). Your GP must complete a DVA referral form (D904) and this must be provided to the dietitian in advance or at the start of your appointment.
Private health funds
We are registered with most private health funds. Private health fund rebates may apply depending on your level of private health cover. The rebate received can vary so please check with your health fund provider prior to your appointment. Full payment is applicable on the day, and rebates must be claimed directly from your health fund provider using the receipt provided at your consultation.
Cancellation Policy
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or change your appointment. If less than 24 hours’ notice is provided, 50% of the appointment fee may be charged, except in cases of illness or emergency.
Cancellation fees apply to all clients.
Please note that Medicare, DVA, and private health rebates do not apply to cancellation fees. If a cancellation fee is incurred, you will be responsible for the full payment.
If your account is paid by a third party (e.g. Workers' Compensation funds or MAIB), please note that these organisations generally do not cover cancellation fees. If a cancellation fee is incurred, you will be responsible for the full payment.
NDIS participants may need to pay cancellation fees from their plan funding where applicable, or may be required to cover these fees personally in certain circumstances.
